There are several features you can enable or disable in the Business Rules => Settings section. To adjust these settings, go to the RO Functions menu at the top of the dashboard and select “System Set Up”. Click on the “Business Rules” tab in the upper right. Then select the “Settings” tab.

1
Enable RO Auto Numbering
If you want to override the RO number imported from your estimating system and have Workflow auto number your RO’s for you, enable this setting. This may come in handy if you are importing from multiple estimating systems and don’t want to risk a possible duplicate RO number.

You can set the RO Sequence from the Import option of the RO Functions menu. At the top of the page, you will see a field and button for “Set RO Sequence”.
2
Enable Parts Status Setting
This allows you to enable or disable Parts tracking.
3
Enable Parts Location Setting
If you want to be able to specify where parts are located when receiving them, enable this setting.
4
Use ‘Start’ Date on RO
This setting enables another date box on the RO Information dialog box on the “Vehicle” tab. This field does not affect any calculations for Target dates but is essentially another data point for shops to keep track of.

5
Auto Supplement Import
Use this setting to automatically update RO’s based on any supplement updates from your estimating system. If this setting is not enabled, you will have to manually import Supplements from the Supplement option of the RO Functions menu.
6
Enable Flatrate Technician Payroll
This will enable the system to produce payroll reports based on the Flat Rate Pay method. This will add a new menu option called “Technician Payroll” in the RO Functions menu.
7
Enable RO Line Labor Tagging
This allows a technician to check a labor line as completed in the Labor tab of the RO Information dialog box. Typically this is used in conjunction with the Enable Flatrate Technician Payroll setting.
8
Enable Technician SMS on Labor Assignment
Enable this setting if you want your Technicians to be notified by SMS text message when they’ve been assigned to an RO. Note that this requires the mobile numbers of your Technicians to have been saved in System Settings.

9
List Customer and YMM with Image
You can toggle whether you’d like to include or not include the Year, Make, and Model and Customer Name above the image of the vehicle.
10
Enable Measure of Timing
This allows you to measure how long a vehicle has been in a department. If enabled, there will be a new menu option in the RO Functions menu called “Statistics” where you can get various charts and graphs for comparing averages on vehicles.
NOTE: If this setting is enabled, drag-and-drop functionality is disabled. In order to move an RO to a new department, you must click on the ‘grid’ icon to the left of the RO number. This will bring up a dialog box that allows you to select a department to move the RO to.
11
Notes Considered Old After ___ Hours
When a new note is added to an RO, the color of the icon on the card will be yellow. If the time elapsed is less than this setting, the note icon will be yellow; if it’s more, then the icon will be gray. Use this dropdown selection to choose the amount of time you want the notes to be shown as new before being considered old.
12
Target P&M % of Sales
Enter a number for the percentage of sales that you want your Paint & Materials to be. This data will be shown on the Reports section of the RO Functions menu.
13
Target P&M Hourly Rate
